The queries were read and answers thereto from the Preparative Meetings of which answers the following is a summary, approved and directed to be forwarded to the Quarterly Meeting.

1st Answer - All our meetings for worship and discipline have been attended by a portion of our members. Some are negligent and others quite remiss in that important duty. Some care taken. Friends avoid unbecoming behavior in meetings. The hour of meeting pretty well observed.

(P 193)

2nd Ans. - Most Friends appear to be preserved in Christian love one toward another. But there is a manifest lack in others. Talebearing and detraction discouraged and mostly avoided. No differences amongst us that we know of.

3rd Ans. - Friends endeavor by example and precept to educate their children and those under their care in the principles of the Christian religion, but some Friends are deficient in plainness of speech and they are not as carefully guarded against corrupt conversation as is desireable. They are encouraged to read the Holy Scriptures.

4th Ans. - No cases coming under our notice under the several heads of this query except some cases of attending places of diversion.

5th Ans. - No poor amongst us requiring aid that we know of.

6th Ans. - Friends maintain a testimony against priests' and ministers' wages and are clear as far as appears under the other heads of this query.

7th Ans. - Friends appear careful to live within the bounds of their circumstances and to avoid involving themselves in business beyond their ability to manage or in hazardous or speculative trade. They appear just in their dealings and mostly punctual in complying with their contracts and in paying their debts seasonably.

8th Ans. - Care is taken to deal with offenders as queried after.

The advices were read and considered.
